Lactea Lactation offers warm, judgment-free, evidence-based care that meets you where you are, from your first latch to weaning.

About

Care rooted in compassion and evidence

Breastfeeding is natural, but it doesn't always come naturally. At Lactea Lactation we know the early weeks can bring sore nipples, worries about milk supply, and plenty of sleepless questions.

We pair clinical knowledge with genuine empathy to help you reach your feeding goals, whether that's exclusive breastfeeding, combination feeding, or exclusive pumping.

FAQ

Common questions

When should I contact a lactation consultant?

Anytime you have questions or concerns, such as pain while feeding, worries about supply or weight gain, or trouble latching. Prenatal visits are also a great way to prepare.

Do you take insurance?

Many insurance plans cover lactation support. We can provide a superbill for reimbursement. Contact us and we'll help you check your coverage.

What happens during a consultation?

We review your health and birth history, observe a feeding, assess latch and positioning, and may do a weighted feed. Then we build a care plan together.

Do you support combination feeding and exclusive pumping?

Absolutely. Every feeding journey is valid, and our goal is to help you reach your goals.
